As the Vice President of Public Partnerships, Jewell will actively engage with public sector allocating agencies and Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) while keeping abreast of key Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs and national affordable housing policies. Her role will involve proactively identifying development and redevelopment opportunities, as well as applying creative problem-solving techniques to address challenges.

Before joining Evergreen in July of 2023, Jewell served as the Deputy Chief of Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) Programming at the Chicago Housing Authority, directing the administrative and programmatic implementation of the RAD program. During her tenure, she oversaw the successful conversion of more than 6,500 units to RAD Project-Based Voucher (PBV) funding and has leveraged more than $400 million in total public and private sources to preserve and build new affordable housing across the city of Chicago. She has 20 years of experience in real estate and development advisory services, specializing in public finance and affordable housing.

Jewell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Sociology from Illinois Wesleyan University and is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she earned a master’s degree in urban planning and policy (MUPP). She is an active board member of Lambda Alpha International-Ely Chapter and a member of the Illinois Housing Council.
