Located in the Chicago-area suburb of Elgin, Illinois, Buena Vista Townhomes consists of 120 units of family housing across 12 townhome-style buildings.  Coupled with Buena Vista Apartments at 231 units, the total development provides more than 350 units of affordable, project-based Section 8 housing for families.  Evergreen has responsibly operated the properties for two decades and has taken a comprehensive approach to preserving and renovating both properties through 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit transactions that have allowed for substantial rehabilitation.  These efforts ensure that Buena Vista continues to offer safe, quality housing for its residents, contributing to the stability and vitality of the Elgin community.
