Jenny serves as a Senior Project Manager for Evergreen Real Estate Group, having joined the company in 2017 to embark on her career in the affordable housing sector. Since then, she has played a pivotal role in spearheading new construction projects for both family and senior housing developments. These initiatives have involved navigating various financing mechanisms, including 4% and 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, TIF, bond financing, and HOME funds, collaborating with entities such as the Chicago Housing Authority, Illinois Housing Development Authority, Cook County Department of Planning, and other local government agencies. In her capacity, Jenny oversees projects from predevelopment stages, managing tasks like zoning, community engagement, and financing applications through to property acquisition. She then guides projects through construction as the developer and owner’s representative, before transitioning to the leasing phase in collaboration with property management. Prior to her tenure at Evergreen, Jenny worked with senior citizens in the southwest suburbs, coordinating healthcare services. This experience illuminated the essential resources necessary for elder citizens’ quality of life, with affordable housing, transportation services, and community support emerging as key factors. Jenny holds a master’s degree in urban planning and policy, with a concentration in Community Development.
