Sunrise Apartments and The Moorings Apartments are large affordable, family apartment complexes located in the heart of the Florida Panhandle, close to the Pensacola Bay, as well as shopping centers, recreational centers and a variety of educational and job opportunities. Evergreen partnered with a legacy investor to acquire the sister properties, which were financed in part by 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and tax-exempt bonds.  With the exception of capital repairs and green updates to appliances, the properties had never received major rehabilitation. The construction and design team were able to facilitate significant structural repairs, along with interior upgrades to all units, new appliances and HVAC systems, refreshed community areas, accessible compliance updates, modernized playgrounds and basketball courts, updated exteriors and upgraded landscaping.  The refreshed property and implementation of new resident services have revitalized the staff, residents and surrounding community.
