Revitalizing Family Communities in Knoxville

Big Oak Apartments is a 150-unit family property located in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Evergreen acquired and substantially renovated the property utilizing 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).  The rehabilitation scope included new appliances, including the addition of dishwashers and grease shields in each unit, new windows, new A/C units, new kitchen cabinets and countertops, new bathroom vanities and plumbing fixtures in all units. In addition, the community building was expanded to accommodate a new community room, computer center, and laundry room.  The site was also upgraded with a new playground, mail kiosk, and new fencing.  The improved amenities and overall rehabilitation of the property have ensured the property continues to provide a safe and inviting community for all residents.
